Prince Charles drove to a concert in Gloucestershire

Members of the public lined up eagerly to take selfies with the vintage car that had a starring role as William and the Duchess, née Kate Middleton, drove away from Buckingham Palace after kissing on the balcony.

The moment the newlyweds appeared beaming in the 1969 Aston Martin, which was decked out in ribbons, 'C' and 'W' ballons and a 'just married' sign, was one of the most memorable images of that special day.

His Aston Martin was a 21st birthday present from the Queen

Prince Charles was given the car by the Queen on his 21st birthday and has taken great care of it over the years. The eco-friendly royal even had his beloved vehicle converted to run on bioethanol fuel, made from waste.

At the concert near his Highgrove home some 40 to 50 bystanders crowded around the Aston Martin to take pictures of it. The Prince was at St Mary's Church in Gloucestershire, for the event organised by the Music in Country Church charity, which was founded 27 years ago with his support.

The charity invites world-class musicians to perform in churches of historical importance as a way of raising funds for their upkeep.

It's a thrilling time for the royal family after Princess Charlotte's arrival. The proud grandfather has been telling everyone how beautiful she is. Meanwhile, Prince Harry is said to have met his little niece last Friday after being given armful of gifts for her while on tour Down Under.
